About the Role:

We at Stepful are seeking a dedicated Career Coach to join our career services team, focusing on supporting Stepful graduates to find jobs in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have exceptional coaching skills and a passion for helping others achieve their career goals.

What You’ll Do:

- Student Coaching: Provide group and one-on-one career coaching to students, helping them navigate their job search in the healthcare industry.

- Resume and Cover Letter Assistance: Help students construct and refine their resumes and cover letters to meet the specific needs of healthcare employers.

- Interview Preparation: Conduct mock interviews, providing feedback and strategies to improve interview performance, with a focus on common healthcare sector scenarios.

- Networking Opportunities: Assist students in identifying and engaging with professional networks, alumni, and employers in the healthcare field.

- Job Search Assistance: Aid students in developing efficient job search strategies, identifying suitable job openings, and understanding the application processes specific to healthcare roles.

- Soft Skills Development: Coach students on developing essential soft skills such as communication, empathy, teamwork, and stress management, which are crucial in healthcare settings.

- Industry Insight: Stay updated with the latest trends, requirements, and opportunities in the healthcare industry to advise students effectively.

- Career Planning: Guide students in understanding various career pathways within the healthcare sector and setting realistic career objectives.

- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes.

- Student Outreach: Proactive and regular outreach to students to engage and motivate them as part of the job coaching program

This Job is for You if You Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Career Counselling or a related field is preferred; a background in healthcare or related studies is preferred.

- Proven experience as a career coach, counselor, or similar role; experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire confidence in others.

- Familiarity with career development theories, coaching techniques, and counseling practices.

- Proficiency in using online teaching tools and technology (Zoom, Calendly, Google Suite)

- Strong understanding of job market trends, especially in the healthcare sector, is a plus.

Job Type: Contract (25-40 hours per week); consistent 24-hour response expectations

Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour
