Alteryx is searching for a Business Systems Analyst (GTM). This position is remote-friendly.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to play a key role in optimizing the processes, tools, and systems that drive our Go-to-Market (GTM) operations. You’ll be part of a small, agile team focused on supporting GTM systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders across all GTM business units as well as IT. As a BSA, you’ll serve as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into scalable, impactful solutions that align with broader organizational goals.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoys blending business strategy with systems thinking. You’ll also help lead high-impact, transformational initiatives across the enterprise.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic & Cross-Functional Impact
Serve as the primary liaison between GTM business functions and technical development or vendor teams.
Support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of key GTM systems and processes (i.e. CRM, CPQ, PRM, marketing automation, and partner platforms).
Partner with key stakeholders on delivering enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Lead and manage smaller-scale high-impact projects or process enhancements.
Ensure consistency, integration, and alignment across tools, workflows, and business processes.
Core Business Analyst Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Translate business needs into clear, functional, and technical requirement.
Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to create scalable, feasible solutions aligned with business goals.
User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Refine and document detailed user stories and criteria for success.
Sprint Backlog Refinement: Facilitate grooming sessions to clarify, prioritize, and plan backlog items.
Testing & Validation: Coordinate UAT activities, triage defects, and support issue resolution for successful delivery.
AI & Automation: Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to evaluate and implement AI-powered capabilities (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation) that improve user experience and drive operational efficiency.
Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation (i.e. process flows, system requirements) to ensure alignment and clarity.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively address potential risks during solution design and implementation.
Process Analysis & Improvement: Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements to drive operational efficiency and scale.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Economics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent role, preferably supporting Go-To-Market (GTM), Revenue Operations, and etc.
Solid understanding of GTM processes and systems (i.e. Salesforce).
Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hand-on experience working in agile environments and with technical/development teams.
Proficiency in writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with querying databases (i.e., SQL, SOQL, etc.).
Proven ability to lead without formal authority and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
Valued Skills:
Experience with mapping processes (e.g., MS Visio, Lucid).
Advanced Excel/Alteryx/Tableau/etc. skills for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in business systems, especially within GTM or RevOps functions.
Familiarity with project delivery methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or systems architecture.
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in the United States is $105,000 - $125,000.
Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
