The US Business Strategist will develop and implement strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC's Chicago leadership and strategy team, the global Management Board, and Global Business Strategy head in Amsterdam. The position will be based in Chicago with limited travel to the IMC Amsterdam and Sydney offices.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Prioritization - Support identification and definition of strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC leadership to help IMC achieve its rapid growth ambitions over the next years.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis - Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to assess challenges, evaluate opportunities, and recommend solutions. Lead or become involved in specific projects relevant to the business and have a "seat at the table" with IMC Chicago's leadership team.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with leadership, business units, and cross-functional teams to align on project goals, secure buy-in, and drive execution.
- Industry & Competitive Insights - Monitor market trends, industry developments, and best practices to inform project execution and strategic decision-making.
- The role will be part of the business strategy team, locally and globally and will report to the Director of US Business Strategy in the Chicago office.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Background in management consulting or corporate strategy - Experience in a top-tier consulting firm (project leader / engagement manager level or equivalent) or proven track record in a comparable role at a top tier prop trading firm. STEM background strongly preferred (Physics, Math, Econometrics or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to synthesize complex data, generate insights, and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - Ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, from senior executives to operational teams, and influence key stakeholders.
- Execution-driven mindset - Track record of delivering measurable impact through structured and results-oriented project execution.
- Financial services or technology exposure (preferred) - Understanding of financial markets, technology-driven business models, or a related fast-paced industry.

The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
