The Business Intelligence (BI) Team at PopSockets is a group of talented and agile professionals looking to add an experienced Lead to our team as we continue to grow. This role will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes while collaborating with analysts and other stakeholders to drive an obsession with using data to inform decision making. The Business Intelligence Lead will be responsible for ensuring data reliability and accuracy from source systems and updating, as needed, any data transformations from the raw data to normalized, report-ready tables. You will lead and develop a small, high-performing BI team while remaining hands-on in architecture, modeling, and performance optimization. A successful candidate can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of organization and attention to detail. Additionally, they should be comfortable working within a global company that utilizes multiple ERP systems, eCommerce tools, marketplace APIs (including, but not limited to Amazon Vendor, Seller Central and Walmart Marketplaces), and Ad platforms. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude who wants to grow their skill set and institutionalize AI-driven change at a dynamic company that values collaboration and hard work. This position reports to our Director of FP&A and Business Intelligence in the US.

Responsibilities:

Data Platform & Modeling
Own our data lifecycle from source system to end-user consumption
Utilize 3rd party tools alongside custom solutions to maintain ETL and reverse ETL logic
Maintain data best practices as it relates to version control, data governance and documentation
Normalize and model raw data into analytics-ready tables for consumption in Power BI, custom built applications and AI agents

Analytics Enablement
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop dashboards in Power BI and AI-ready data models
Enhance reporting by partnering with internal stakeholders to identify gaps in current reporting
Institutionalize and manage an intake process for new reporting requests
Enable data democratization by maintaining a data gold layer that’s exposed to Microsoft Fabric for Power BI and Copilot to leverage for data-driven decisions

Operations & Optimizations
Ensure Snowflake and other pillars of our tech stack remain performant, cost-efficient, and scalable as data volume and business complexity grow.
Be obsessed with improving processes, leveraging automation and integrating AI into all workflows to drive efficiencies
Inform the development of our BI roadmap alongside the Director of FP&A and Business Intelligence
Partner with international teams, which may require working outside of standard work hours

  • Experience leading international teams and juggling multiple time zones
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, Quickbooks, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify and Amazon Marketplaces are a plus but not essential
