Business Intelligence Analyst


Point72’s Intelligence and Surveillance team sets the industry standard for intelligence driven analysis by proactively identifying, monitoring, and assessing various sources of risk using proprietary tools and specialized tradecraft. We support senior management by providing strategic assessments, actionable recommendations, and real-time escalations. Housed within Point72’s Intelligence team, the IPAS team focuses on the assessment and selection of Investment Professional candidates for the firm.


What you’ll do

As a Business Intelligence Analyst on the IPAS team, you will support candidate assessment and selection, due diligence, and investigations with respect to firm investments, and other ad-hoc projects. Your work will emphasize on collecting and analyzing competitive intelligence within the financial industry and transforming that intelligence into actionable insights for business stakeholders. Specifically, you will:


  • Design and implement methods for collecting competitive intelligence, using various applications to structure and organize large amounts of data on individuals, their associates and related entities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Assist the team with the assessment & selection and due diligence processes for Investment Professional candidates.
  • Apply industry knowledge to tailor research on individuals of interest, producing comprehensive and insightful reviews efficiently and independently.
  • Produce high-quality reports for senior stakeholders while collaborating with internal teams to meet deadlines and be responsive to business needs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase workflow productivity of through the use of AI and automation tools.

What’s required

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Legal Studies, Political Science, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a due diligence, investigations, or competitive intelligence role.
  • Strong attention to detail while working on tight deadlines.
  • Experience using multiple research platforms, network analysis tools, and AI tools at a high level.
  • A positive attitude, dedication to our team’s mission and a creative and analytic mind.
