As the Business Development Representative (BDR), you
will handle inbound sales inquiries from our award-winning lead generation
program and make both cold and warm outbound calls to potential

Responsibilities
- Make 50+ outbound cold calls daily to potential customers in new markets as we are constantly expanding to new states and territories.
- Engage with new and existing markets, qualifying leads, sharing information about our products and company, and screening prospects.
- Coordinate with Account Executives throughout North America to set appointments and follow up with cannabis retailers to advance their dispensary technology.
- Recontact the Cova database of prospects to advance potential opportunities.
- Field inbound queries and qualify prospects. Provide information, assist in the sales process, and set the wheels in motion for conversions.
- Execute nurture campaigns to engage prospects over time who may be slower to close.
- Identify larger-scale opportunities and transition them to the Territory or Strategic Account teams.
- Act as an ambassador for Cova, sharing information about the company, products, and organization.
- Meet activity goals for cold calls, client communication, and appointment setting to facilitate future sales.
- Maintain a record of calls through Salesforce CRM, updating all client engagement activities
- This role may require other responsibilities not listed on an as required basis
- Experience working with diverse groups, with the ability to adapt to different perspectives, understandings, and needs.
- At least 1+ year previous cold calling or related BDR/sales experience
- Superior verbal communication skills: ability to call, shifting from inbound to outbound calls; connect, and interact with potential customers all day.
- Aptitude for software principles and understanding of business systems (CRM, Retail, Inventory Mgmt., etc.).
- Proficient in M365 tools.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Previous experience/knowledge of the Cannabis industry a strong asset
