Job Summary
The Spectrum Reach Business Development Representative brings new direct business opportunities to life. The BDR is responsible for selling geo-targeted video advertising and digital search campaigns to small-to-medium size businesses within a specified territory. Primary platforms utilized to deliver these campaigns include CTV, linear cable, Spectrum News, Kernel Production Services as well as a host of traditional digital marketing tools. The BDR achieves sales and revenue goals through successful prospecting of new customers as well as outreach to current Spectrum internet customers not presently advertising. The BDR is responsible for generating sales through a variety of prospecting tactics and working every lead from initial contact to sale. BDRs excel through successfully contacting prospective clients, interacting with clients on-on-one, presenting effective campaigns to meet customer marketing goals, and gaining contractual agreement. Once closed, maintenance and renewal responsibilities move to an assigned Spectrum Reach Account Executive. The BDR is responsible for the development and implementation of a Territory Plan (under the instruction of the Sales Manager) which is designed to expand the customer base within their assigned territory. The BDR is 100% focused on generating new local advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Have a working understanding of Spectrum Reach platforms, products and services and the value propositions they provide.
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity goals including per day customer contact goals, per week customer in person presentations, and per month new business account closes.
- Identify decision makers and assess prospect needs through direct outbound outreach.
- Establish and maintain a high level of client satisfaction, professionalism, and courtesy to effectively establish quality client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
- Ensure long-term client retention by transitioning accounts to Account Executives using effective communication and proper client profile documentation.
- Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge. Practice selling skills regularly with manager. Read sales books and take sales courses to learn new sales techniques; practice and implement new sales techniques regularly.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Knowledge of marketing, advertising, and media concepts. Aptitude to learn Spectrum Reach product suite, company values, and approach to local market selling.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and tactics, especially focused on streaming TV media.
