This position will be part of the Federal Divisions Department of Justice and Civil Agencies team.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Development and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships at senior DOJ leadership levels (SES)

  • Utilize previous industry experience to develop and enhance Motorola’s understanding of customer policy, budgeting, and requirements formulation

  • Become a trusted adviser to the senior Department of Justice customers and Federal Division partners

  • Identify, quantify, and pursue new business opportunities within the DOJ

  • Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand DOJ requirements and develop the appropriate strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities

  • Ability to learn, develop, and clearly articulate specific Motorola Solutions strategies to customer senior leadership

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of industry trends, changes, and competitor actions impacting customer decisions  

  • Ability to explore new customer segments and clearly articulate value proposition for customers and Motorola Solutions

  • Deep understanding and experience working with US DOJ budget cycles

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of sales/public safety/military experience

  • OR 15+ years of sales/public safety/military experience

  • Preference for background in the DOJ and or working knowledge of DOJ and Federal Law Enforcement; Sales experience

  • Seeking 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or technical roles selling into or working for the various Department of Justice and or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies

  • Deep understanding and experience working with US DOJ budget cycles

  • Prior experience in selling or designing complex software and communications solutions highly desired

  • A technical background to include experience selling or working with LMR / RF communications, 1st Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video), cybersecurity solutions, Command & Control (C2) strongly desired

  • Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus

  • Direct and oversee the sales process for assigned strategic projects / programs in the DOJ; Responsible for initiating customer discussions and managing the entire sales process

  • Strong technical acumen and experience with DOJ communication systems / networks

  • Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment

  • Understanding of US DOJ funding and procurement cycles

  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD

On Target Earnings: $198,000 - $231,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
