The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented communicator responsible for driving business growth through aggressive lead generation, persistent prospecting, and effective client onboarding. The Business Development Associate will also execute trades and support the trading team, delivering premier client service while building a long-term career with our company.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Outbound Prospecting- Build, refine, and maintain a robust target lead list using strategic prospecting techniques.
- Execute high-volume cold calls to engage key decision-makers and effectively pitch services.
- Persistently follow up with warm leads on the same day to accelerate sales conversion cycles.
- Track and manage leads through the compliance process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
- Manage Lead Lifecycle: Capture, track, and qualify prospects in the CRM and ERP systems from initial contact to hand-off.
- Maintain Data Integrity: Update and secure all lead profiles and communication histories in full compliance with company data privacy policies.
- Screen & Vetting: Conduct initial checks and eligibility screenings on all inbound and outbound leads before routing them to sales teams.
- Maintain Pipeline Integrity: Actively log all sales activities (calls, emails, meetings) in real time or within 24 hours to ensure an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline.
- Lead Record Enrichment: Own the qualification and update process for prospective accounts, ensuring contact details, job titles, and company attributes are clean and free of duplicates.
- Data Standardization: Adhere strictly to data entry protocols, using uniform naming conventions and completing mandatory fields to prevent data fragmentation.
- Deal Lifecycle Management: Routinely audit and advance deal stages to ensure accurate forecasting and conversion tracking for the broader sales team.
- CRM Proficiency: Proven experience navigating and updating major CRM platforms like Salesforce, and Netsuite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in manual data entry and a proactive mindset toward flagging outdated or decaying prospect profiles.
- Process-Driven: Strong time management skills with the ability to treat database upkeep as a daily core habit alongside client outreach
- Build strong initial rapport and ensure a smooth, professional hand-off of qualified accounts to Account Managers.
- Maintain exceptional, persuasive communication with prospects throughout every stage of the sales pipeline.
- Conduct best-in-class Sales Kick-Off (SKO) meetings to align goals and strategies.
- Complete Platform Gold demos to showcase product capabilities.
- Execute trading activities for a minimum of two hours per day, with increased focus when the trading team is short-staffed.
- Serve as a backup for traders when they are out of the office.
- Support a minimum of 10 cases per day, addressing client inquiries and issues.
- Proven sales background with 1–3 years of hands-on outbound sales, cold calling, or business development experience and a documented record of sales achievement.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Focus on building a long-term career in trading and precious metals sales.
- High degree of resilience, self-motivation, and focus on long-term career advancement within sales.
