Business Developer – Nedap Livestock (US Market)

Shape the Future of Dairy Farming

Nedap Livestock is the global market leader in advanced dairy cow monitoring solutions. In addition to our proven wearables, we are introducing a new suite of computer vision-based solutions. The US will be the first market to launch this cutting-edge technology.

To ensure a successful introduction and long-term growth, we are looking for a Business Developer to drive commercial success. In this role, you will build and develop the market alongside our Business Partners and act as the go-to expert for internal stakeholders. By listening to the needs of dairy farmers, you will help refine and optimize our vision solutions to ensure they deliver optimal value.

What will you do?

  • Take full commercial responsibility for the success of our vision solutions in the US;
  • Build and manage a strong network of Business Partners to effectively introduce the technology to the market;
  • Support and guide Business Partners in lead generation and optimizing the customer journey, from first contact to implementation on the farm;
  • Act as the market expert, working closely with the HQ Expansion team to tailor our solutions to the US market;
  • Represent Nedap Livestock at farms, conferences, and trade shows, bringing our vision to life.

What do you bring?

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong drive to establish Nedap’s vision solutions in the US dairy industry;
  • A strong affinity with computer vision technology and a passion for driving adoption of data-driven solutions;
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with large US dairy farms, including owners and herd managers;
  • A solid network within the North American dairy farming industry, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships;
  • A team-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively in an international environment with commercial, marketing, product management, and engineering teams;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a persuasive and engaging approach;
  • Willingness to support clients and partners remotely or on-site when needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or animal science, combined with in-depth knowledge of herd performance, animal health, reproduction, and how these factors impact farm profitability;
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role;
  • Spanish language skills are a plus;
  • This is a Remote position, located in the US, preferably in proximity to large dairy populations (e.g., Mid-West, I-29 corridor, Western or Southwest US), or ability to frequently travel to those areas;
  • Domestic and international travel ~ 50% is required, including trips to our US office based in Burlington MA, and our headquarters in the Netherlands;
  • Candidates must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and be eligible for U.S. employment.
  • Candidates must be able to stand, sit, type, view monitor(s), use phone or other communication devices, safely lift 10- 30 lbs.

In this role, you will be working closely together with the Nedap Livestock team in the US. Also, you will be an essential member of the global expansion team, which is responsible for developing new solutions that radically improve the lives of farmers around the world.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $105,000 – $150,000.
