About your team:

Our Brand & Content team is a group of social media experts, newsletter writers, designers, copywriters, and event pros, all working together to build a world-class brand creators love. We focus on growing Teachable's reach, connecting with new and existing audiences, and using content, design, and in-person experiences to drive awareness, generate leads, and deepen engagement.

What is the role?

We're looking for a Sr. Lead, Brand & Content to lead the team that owns how Teachable looks, sounds, feels, and shows up in the world, on screen and in the room. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for our brand identity, our content and creative output, our events program, and the earned media that puts Teachable and our creators in the right conversations.

You'll set the vision and the creative bar across brand, content, design, and events, and lead a team that turns it into work creators love. You'll own the narrative and visual system, direct a high-stakes events calendar, lead our PR strategy, and make sure every channel and every moment ladders up to one coherent brand.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing and works closely with Growth Marketing, Product, and Creator Partnerships. You'll lead a team that includes our Content Strategy Lead (who owns blog, newsletter, social, and video and their team) and our events coordinator, along with our designer and copywriter, and you'll own our external creative and PR agency relationships.

We're a hybrid team and encourage NYC-based team members to work from our office 1 to 2 days per week.

In this role, you will:
  • Own and evolve the Teachable brand, our voice, visual identity, and narrative, keeping a clear through-line across every channel, campaign, and experience;
  • Set the overarching content vision and direction, and empower your Content Strategy Lead to own execution across blog, newsletter, social, and video;
  • Lead brand and full-funnel campaigns end to end, partnering with Growth on paid media and with Product Marketing on messaging and ICP;
  • Own the strategy and vision for our events program, creator gatherings, field activations, virtual summits, and content shoots, setting the goals and creative direction while your events coordinator drives logistics and on-the-ground execution;
  •  Set and protect the creative bar across design and copy, and build a high-performing team through direct management and mentorship;
  • Lead PR and earned media, owning the agency relationship, op-eds, media hooks, and awards to grow Teachable's share of voice;
  • Work cross-functionally with Creator Partnerships, Product, Customer Success, and Finance to keep brand, content, and events aligned to business goals and measurable against them;
  • Define and track success metrics across brand health, content performance, event impact, and earned media, using data to sharpen the work over time;
  • Bring strategic thinking and creative range, connecting audience needs, business priorities, and brand best practices.

What you'll bring:

  •  8+ years in brand, content, creative, or integrated marketing, including experience leading a team and managing other managers or leads;
  •  A strong portfolio with range: brand building, multi-channel content, brand or full-funnel campaigns, and events that feel like the brand;
  • Proven experience owning an events program, setting strategy and creative direction and holding the bar on execution through a team or partners;
  • Experience managing creative and content talent and external agencies;
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into brand, content, and event plans;
  • Hands-on PR and earned media experience, including op-eds and media pitching;
  • Excellent creative judgment, communication, and leadership skills;
  • Collaborative approach and the ability to influence cross-functionally;
  • Passion for helping creators, entrepreneurs, and small business owners grow their impact.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in SaaS or the creator economy;
  • Strong familiarity with how AI and LLMs are shaping brand, content, and SEO;
  • Experience representing a brand across social, webinars, and community-facing events.
While Teachable maintains our NY office for local employees to use, we operate as a remote-first culture in order to give our employees added flexibility. In order to maintain connection and create a community beyond the screen, Teachable holds in-person events throughout the year, where employees and teams can come together for bonding, strategic alignment, goal-setting, and celebrations!
