The Billing Analyst supports accounting operations by processing invoices, managing accounts, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting with audits.

The Billing Analyst will play a key role in supporting HONK’s Accounting and Finance teams by ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions, and reconciling financial data. This role offers broad exposure to essential accounting operations and contributes to the overall financial health of the company.
Reporting to HONK's Controller, this position provides high visibility across the organization and an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue client invoices; process incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts
- Generate customized invoice formats and fulfill client billing requests
- Review account ledgers for billing discrepancies; identify and propose adjustments as needed
- Report billing or system errors in proprietary platforms to the Engineering team and collaborate on resolution
- Manage a portfolio of smaller client accounts, including credit card payment follow-ups and collections
- Communicate with clients regarding account status, outstanding balances, and upcoming due dates
- Review lockbox activity; prepare check remittances for deposit, and apply payments to accounts
- Support internal and external audits, as well as the month-end close process
- Perform ad-hoc account reconciliations and special projects as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic data analysis
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms)
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across departments and with clients
- Comfortable using Mac OS and navigating productivity tools in a Mac-based environment
- Prior experience in the roadside assistance, logistics, or customer service industries is a plus
