About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team temporarily while our Benefits Manager is on maternity leave. This role will primarily focus on managing medical and parental leave requests, ADA accommodations, and supporting general benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with open enrollment, employee benefits operations, and ad hoc reporting. Workers' compensation administration experience is a plus.
What You'll Be Working On:
Oversee and administer medical leave, parental leave, and ADA accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Multi-statue (CO, CA) preferred.
Support open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications and system updates.
Support workers' compensation administration, including claims tracking and coordination.
Assist with ad hoc reporting, audits, and data reconciliation as needed.
Collaborate with HR, payroll, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth benefits operations.
Respond to general employee benefit inquiries and escalate complex issues as necessary.
Assist with benefits enrollments, terminations, and changes across all benefit carriers as needed.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
5+ years of benefits administration experience, with a strong focus on leave management and accommodations.
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
Experience supporting open enrollment and benefits-related reporting.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear employee guidance.
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems preferred, especially Rippling and Tilt.
The ideal candidate will have broker-side experience.
Experience with workers’ compensation claims is a plus.
Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $50 -$70 per hour. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
