Job Title: Background Check Analyst
Job Summary:
Magna Legal Services is seeking a Background Check Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support a variety of investigative case types, with a primary focus on conducting civil and criminal background checks on individuals or companies being investigated. This position will primarily involve desktop-based investigations, utilizing research tools, databases and court websites and interacting with court staff to obtain documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing a variety of investigative tools, databases, and software to conduct research and analysis to verify individual’s identities
- Identifying all jurisdictions where records should be searched
- Obtaining driving records, court records and Open Source Data on subjects of investigation
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of relevant work conducting civil/criminal background checks
- Industry experience in law enforcement, law firms, court systems, or working as a skip tracer
- A college degree in a relevant field (i.e., Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork & communication skills required; daily interaction with others is a core function of the role.
- Strong attention to detail & “dog with a bone” mentality
Compensation: USD $27.00 - $33.00 per hour.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
