Job Description

To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking an AVP of Product Marketing to develop breakthrough, business-moving campaigns to promote our various offerings, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Medicare Supplement, Dental, Vision and Specialty plans. This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who deeply understands health insurance products and how to develop campaign strategies that deliver results in a fast-paced, and regulated environment.
This position will reside within the Marketing Organization which is part of the broader Enterprise Growth team. They will extensively collaborate with the following partners: Market Presidents, Consumer Insights and Analytics, Lifecycle Marketing, Marketing Operations and Marketing Data and Technology.

Role Responsibilities 

As a senior leader on Humana’s Portfolio, Brand and Product Marketing team, you will drive product marketing strategy across lines of business and member segments. 

  • Lead the development of product marketing strategies for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and specialty products—ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and member needs. 

  • Direct go-to-market planning, including positioning, messaging, segmentation, and launch strategies. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Brand, Sales, and Analytics to ensure strategies are insight-driven, compliant, and market-responsive. 

  • Establish performance frameworksby partnering with Consumer Insights and Analytics to measure product marketing effectiveness, member engagement, and business impact. 

  • Drive innovation and optimization, identifying opportunities to improve speed-to-market, personalization, and competitive differentiation. 

  • Mentor and lead a team of product marketers, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

Your leadership will ensure Humana’s products are clearly understood, effectively promoted, and deeply connected to the needs of the people we serve.

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Strategy, or related field. 

  • 15+ years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or campaign management. 

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-level marketing initiatives with multiple direct reports 

  • Proven ability to influence business partners in setting long term marketing plans to meet business objectives 

  • Strong understanding of healthcare markets, member engagement, and regulatory environment. 

  • Experience leveraging marketing analytics, segmentation, and performance measurement to report on and refine marketing plans 

  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree or certification in Marketing Strategy, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management. 

  • Experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial health plan marketing. 

  • Background in agile marketing planning or enterprise transformation. 

  • Experience managing large budgets and vendor relationships.

Preferred Locations: Hybrid -- Arlington, VA; Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Dallas, TX, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, and Fort Lauderdale, FL

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$203,400 - $279,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
