Location
  • Hybrid: Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.
Summary/Objective:

The AVP Finance is responsible for leading key financial risk management, balance sheet strategy, and financial reporting functions, including asset/liability management, interest rate risk oversight, CECL governance, and executive-level financial analysis. This role serves as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and is responsible for preparing and presenting financial, risk, and balance sheet insights to executive management, Board committees, and the Board of Directors. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices, drive process improvements, and develop a high-performing finance team that supports the organization's long-term growth and profitability objectives.

Essential Functions include:
  • Own the Asset Liability Management (ALM) framework, including interest rate risk measurement, stress testing, scenario analysis, model governance, and recommendations to optimize balance sheet performance while operating within Board-approved risk appetite.
  • Own the CECL governance framework, including model performance monitoring, assumption validation, qualitative factor analysis, forecasting methodologies, and communication of reserve adequacy to executive management and the Board.
  • Responsible for ensuring financial reporting is accurate and delivered to Pricing Committee, Risk Oversight Committee, and the Board on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
  • Perform complex ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Recommend changes to balance sheet strategy, pricing, product structure, and risk management practices based on financial and market analysis.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team by establishing clear goals, succession plans, coaching programs, and development opportunities that strengthen organizational capabilities.
  • Represent the finance function in cross-functional meetings, committees, and key projects. Continuously improve processes, controls, and systems to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and support organizational growth.

Required Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, treasury, ALM, FP&A, accounting, or risk management within a financial institution with at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of asset/liability management, interest rate risk measurement, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization.
  • Experience evaluating credit risk, loan portfolio performance, and the impact of credit trends on earnings and capital.
  • Experience managing or analyzing fixed income investment portfolios and related interest rate risk implications.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, FRM, or other relevant advanced credential.
  • Experience at a $1B+ credit union or regional/community bank.
  • Experience with derivative programs, loan sales, securitizations, and wholesale funding strategies.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities using SQL, Power BI, Python, Excel, or similar tools.
Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Compensation Information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $124,969.86 and $166,626.48 plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
