ResponsibilitiesAs an Automation Project Manager at Ferguson, you will lead and manage automation projects from initiation to completion. Your role is crucial in ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading EPC, contractor, and end-user projects with tailored approaches for each.
- Bringing to bear resources from documentation and quotation specialists to support EPC requirements, including submittals, testing, and formatting.
- Collaborating with ACE, Projects Quotation Team, Project Execution Team, and Management to build guidelines for handling various project types.
- Partnering with ACE teammates, project managers, and technical specialists to complete projects that combine engineered automation packages with complex documentation and submittal requirements.
- Recommending products and solutions that align with client needs, including valves, actuators, mounting kits, and engineered automation systems.
- Building and sustaining solid customer connections, acting as a primary liaison for significant accounts.
- Partnering with inside sales, outside sales, vendors, valve shops, and fabrication teams to provide accurate quotes, timely builds, and efficient delivery.
- Conducting project meetings, tracking achievements, and preparing status updates for customers and leadership.
- Driving alignment with Ferguson’s Intentional Product Strategy (IPS) to improve gross margin and efficiency.
- Acting as a link between field teams, customers, and vendors to address challenges promptly and reduce delays.
- Finding opportunities for process improvement and supporting ACE’s mission of standardization, collaboration, and shared guidelines across districts.
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- 3–5 years of project management or automation/engineered products experience.
- A background in valve automation, engineered packages, or complex project environments is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise several tasks and meet tight timelines.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Project).
- Outstanding communication abilities with the capacity to work effectively alongside inside sales, outside sales, vendors, and customers.
- The capacity to travel occasionally as needed for projects and/or training.

$5,175.00 - $11,275.00-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
