Job Description

Position Summary  

The Auditing Supervisor is responsible for assisting and supporting all aspects of the day-to-day oversight and execution of revenue accounting for all verticals of operations, including the control of deposits, reconciliation of credit cards, chargeback disputes, and daily sales audits. This includes sales for lift, ski school, rental/retail, restaurants, hospitality, online store, parking, guest services, and kiosks. The auditing department includes credit card and cash operations in service of revenue assurance. The Auditing Supervisor reports to the Auditing Manager. 

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.15 to $33.00. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Work effectively with internal departments to ensure revenue accounting controls across all verticals (lift, ski school, rental/retail, restaurants, online store, parking, guest services, and kiosks) 
  • Coordinate between all revenue-generating departments and credit card processors/gateways 
  • Care for external and internal customer calls with efficient and accurate information regarding transaction questions; respond to customer and cashier credit card inquiries and provide requested documentation 
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy of credit card activity across approximately 40 Merchant IDs spanning Mountain Operations, F&B, bStore/eStore, Online Store/Mobile App, Parking, Stay Aspen Snowmass/Resort Travel, Mountain Collective, Limelight Hotels, and Aspen Ventures 
  • Record and monitor daily credit card and gift card transactions; research and correct variances daily.  
  • Assure card brand reporting matches point-of-sale systems and flows accurately to the GL (General Ledger), performing accurate daily input of reporting from multiple sources 
  • Manage fraud prevention, including monitoring Online Store fraud through KOUNT, and research and respond to chargebacks, submitting evidence for reversal or acceptance by stated deadlines 
  • Monitor closing and batching of RTP (Resort Technology Partners) clients in a timely manner 
  • Manage and reconcile internal cash banks; assemble and provide banks for all cashiers in Aspen One’s Roaring Fork Valley operations 
  • Maintain accurate contracts/records with managers for banks issued and returned; oversee daily delivery of banks and daily cash deposits from all ticket, rental/retail, mountain dining, and hospitality locations across all four mountains. 
  • Audit sales reports and cash drops daily; research, report, and correct cash over/shorts, and alert managers regarding missing drops and cash variances for resolution 
  • Provide and deliver replacement change orders to all sales locations daily 
  • Conduct onsite audits of cash banks when required; maintain accuracy of the Audit House Bank for smaller bills and coin on hand 
  • Review and monitor check requests from ticket offices pertaining to refunds 
  • Assist the Auditing Manager with outside auditor requests and compliance documentation 
  • Coordinate house charge set-ups for F&B and other departments 
  • Maintain gift card program accuracy and reporting of usage 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements  

  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent job-related skills 
  • 3-5 years accounting/ auditing experience 
  • Prior experience in a lead, supervisory, or senior auditing capacity preferred 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities   

  • RTP|ONE experience preferred 
  • Experience with credit card processors and gateways preferred   
  • High attention to detail is a must  
  • Ability to monitor cash-handling locations and alarms/safes daily 
  • Ability to respond to auditing-related emails and voicemails, company-wide and outside the company, in a timely manner 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Proficient in general website navigation 
  • Completes tasks and goals efficiently and effectively 
  • Plans, prioritizes, and manages time effectively to meet deadlines and support team and functional objectives.

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements  
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions 
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
