Job Duties: Evaluate the creditworthiness of primary market asset-backed securities (ABS) deals by performing scenario analysis on collateral cashflows and assessing transaction documents and structures. Monitor collateral performance across ABS investments in various subsectors, including esoterics, consumer loans, solar loans, student loans and others. Analyze relative value and recommend portfolio positioning within ABS market. Trade ABS bonds in the secondary market to carry out team’s investment views. Present updates on consumer credit and the ABS market to multi-sector PMs. Use coding skills to improve processes and functions.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an Analyst or a related financial analytics role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Financial and credit-risk modeling using Excel, and Bloomberg; Advanced Excel for financial analysis and modeling to create risk and credit performance evaluation metrics and scorecards; Creating and running stress tests and scenario analyses, model validation and constructing linear regressions; Risk framework development by using Python and SQL to extract data for ongoing risk analysis, and developing data-driven processes to evaluate sponsor financial health and risks; Creating and leading risk management reviews; Developing scenario analyses for stress-test informing capital allocation decisions; Credit Risk analysis; and Statistical modeling techniques including regression analysis.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$143,500.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
