We are seeking a bold and thorough Associate Product Manager to join our team and support the Shift Left Author value stream. This role focuses on enhancing our LevelDocs document remediation product and related authoring tools, enabling organizations to identify and fix accessibility issues earlier in the content creation process. The scope of this role includes PDF remediation and all document types; including Word, PowerPoint, and other digital formats ensuring content meets accessibility standards from the beginning. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, passionate about accessibility, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. You will work closely with senior product managers, designers, engineers, and accessibility experts to bring new features to market, improve usability, and ensure our solutions integrate seamlessly into customer workflows. ResponsibilitiesProduct Knowledge
- Build a solid understanding of the Shift Left Author value stream, including LevelDocs capabilities, PDF remediation workflows, and accessibility challenges across all supported document types.
- Maintain familiarity with competitor offerings, assistive technologies, and related market trends.
- Assist in leading the product backlog by gathering requirements, writing user stories, and ensuring clarity for engineering teams.
- Support the release process, including QA coordination, documentation review, and post-release feedback collection.
- Track feature adoption and customer feedback to inform future improvements.
- Participate in customer interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to understand needs and struggles in document accessibility workflows.
- Help synthesize insights from user research into actionable recommendations.
- Work daily with design, engineering, and QA teams to move features from concept to launch.
- Partner with customer success and support teams to troubleshoot issues and see opportunities for enhancement.
- Assist in monitoring product usage data and important metrics to evaluate the impact of releases across document types.
- Prepare reports and summaries for product leadership to guide decision-making.
- Develop foundational skills in product management frameworks, SaaS delivery, and accessibility standards.
- Stay informed on WCAG guidelines, Section 508, and evolving accessibility regulations related to document accessibility.
- 1–2 years of experience in a product, business analysis, project coordination, or related role in a software or SaaS environment (internships or co-op experience welcome).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in accessibility, inclusive design, and improving digital experiences for all users.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams in an agile or iterative development environment.
- Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and work independently when needed.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508, ADA).
- Experience with document formats such as PDF, Word, and PowerPoint, including remediation workflows.
- Exposure to product management tools like Jira, Productboard, or Figma.
- Understanding of basic software development concepts and API integrations.
