These positions are on both our Finance & Acquisitions as well as Strategy teams.

What you'll do

Strategy Team

You’ll be tasked with supporting the development of DESRI’s market strategy and new project origination decisions by conducting power market research and tracking trends, in addition to supporting various data analysis tasks. This work could include performing comprehensive analyses of electricity market fundamentals in regions across the United States to identify attractive markets for renewable energy and energy storage, researching renewable energy demand opportunities with U.S. corporations and utilities, and conducting/maintaining routine and ad hoc competitive benchmarking and analysis. You’ll work closely with various DESRI teams to gather and disseminate strategic insights across the organization. This role will directly support and inform DESRI’s M&A and financial underwriting processes.

Investment & Acquisitions Team

You’ll be responsible for building and reviewing financial models to support management investment decisions, with a focus on modeling project returns, optimizing capital structure, identifying risks and potential upside, and presenting analytical findings in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for leading due diligence and managing third-party deliverables through deal processes. You will also support transaction leads on negotiating definitive documentation for debt and tax equity financings, acquisitions, and opportunistic sales across both new projects and DESRI’s existing portfolio of projects in development, under construction, or in operation.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and at least two years of experience (Associate), as well as modeling capabilities, preferably in Excel.
  • A record of academic and professional achievement, well-developed communication skills, the ability to collaborate well with a small team, proven organizational acumen when working on multiple projects, and a high level of motivation are all vital to this role.
