Responsibilities include customer and utility relationships, permitting, land and site diligence, interconnection applications, community engagement, commercial and market analysis, project and portfolio acquisitions, offtake strategy, and cross-functional coordination through financing or transaction execution.

Ten-week interns support DESRI’s Business Operations, Recruiting, and Human Capital teams. Responsibilities may include improving firmwide processes, coordinating cross-functional projects, conducting candidate research and recruiting analytics, supporting interview programs and employer branding, contributing to employee programs and talent management, and developing actionable people or operational analyses. Interns collaborate with mentors and project managers, visit a renewable energy asset, and present their work at the end of the summer.

Supports DESRI’s Legal team on renewable energy project development, acquisitions, financings, construction, and operations. Responsibilities include legal research, transaction and project document review and preparation, due diligence, and assistance with commercial and portfolio-related legal matters. The intern will collaborate with legal and business teams, gain exposure to project finance and transactional law, and present work to colleagues at the end of the 10-week program.

Ten-week summer interns support DESRI’s Finance & Acquisitions and Strategy teams by building financial analyses and investment models, conducting due diligence, researching power markets and competitors, evaluating renewable energy and storage opportunities, and synthesizing insights for investment and business planning decisions.

Ten-week physical team internship supporting renewable energy projects across asset management, construction, engineering, development, preconstruction, project management, and project delivery. Responsibilities may include technical and commercial analysis, reporting, schedule and budget coordination, contractor and stakeholder coordination, project design evaluation, permitting and interconnection analysis, constructability, and cross-functional project execution for solar, battery storage, and wind assets.

The role involves managing renewable energy projects by collaborating with internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely execution and process improvements.

Lead Total Rewards and People Operations programs including compensation, benefits, retirement, HRIS (Rippling), payroll oversight, leave and immigration compliance. Partner with Human Capital and Finance on compensation cycles, performance reviews, and payroll controls. Improve policies, processes, reporting, automation, and employee experience while building cross-functional partnerships.

Build and lead DESRI's internal IT function: define IT strategy and governance, manage infrastructure and enterprise applications (Microsoft 365, HRIS), lead cybersecurity and compliance, oversee vendor and budget management, establish service delivery and Help Desk, and scale a global IT team to support distributed operations and remote employees.

Manage procurement of services and capital equipment for renewable energy projects, negotiating supply agreements, conducting market research, and fulfilling project needs.

Lead renewable energy project development and acquisitions, managing risks, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure projects are on schedule and budget.

Lead permitting matters for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.

Support development team by maintaining project tracking and dashboards, coordinating meetings and cross-functional communications, assisting with RFPs and community engagement, preparing presentations, managing consultants/contracts, and improving processes to keep renewable energy projects on schedule.

Lead technical oversight of battery energy storage system design and integration for utility-scale projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements.

Lead SCADA and controls integration for utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid projects. Perform SCADA design reviews, define specifications, manage vendor selection, develop points lists and alarm/data mapping, support FAT and commissioning, troubleshoot telemetry and integration issues, and standardize SCADA templates and best practices.

The role involves supporting preconstruction activities for renewable energy projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, managing procurement processes, and tracking project schedules.
