Placement Representative

 If you’re looking to expand your career with a global leader in Insurance Broking and Risk Management, this position is for you!  Marsh has an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Placement Specialist supporting the US Product Recall practice.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead placement and advisory efforts on a diverse portfolio of client accounts.
  • Develop and execute renewal and placement strategies in collaboration with Placement Leaders and Client Executives, aligned with client goals.
  • Manage coverage reviews and negotiate terms with underwriters to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely follow-up of all placement activities within internal systems.
  • Assist in submitting coverage specifications and policy management for follow up with underwriters and client team to provide cohesive client service.
  • Assist with invoicing, billing and service line tax activities.
  • Input placement data into system within specified timeframes and accurately.
  • Complete first check of policy and confirms policy language to support policy renewal process.
  • Document all placement activities in the system to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client team.
  • Assist in special projects within team.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with carriers, underwriters, and market contacts to enhance placement opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes, advising clients and internal teams on impacts and opportunities.
  • Collaborate across Marsh teams to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.

What you Need to Have:

  • College degree
  • 2+ years of relevant commercial lines insurance experience in a support capacity
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/database
  • Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $72,500 to $154,300.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
