As an Associate Director within our Technology Strategy and Operations enablement organization, you will operate at the intersection of technology strategy, organizational change, and learning enablement. In this role, you will design, build, and scale enterprise learning programs that enable workforce transformation across Optum Technology, while also driving critical organizational change management, socializing programs, and establishing senior leadership alignment and sponsorship. You will partner with senior leaders, technology subject matter experts (SMEs), and marketing/communications partners to draft, plan, and execute strategic program campaigns that drive measurable technical adoption and organizational readiness.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, delivery, and scaling of technical learning programs aligned to enterprise technology strategy, operations, and workforce capability needs
- Apply organizational change management (OCM) frameworks to socialize enablement programs, build organizational awareness, and secure active sponsorship and alignment from senior leadership
- Draft and plan internal marketing and program communications strategies, collaborating closely with communications and marketing partners to execute outreach campaigns
- Integrate enterprise AI tools, set AI goals in development plans, and align capabilities with core technical competencies to accelerate technology adoption across teams
- Champion the ethical use of AI by embedding transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout program development and the learning lifecycle
- Strategically use AI tools to solve operational challenges, streamline instructional design workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Evaluate emerging technical, operational, and learning trends to inform program design and strategic innovation
- Own the full program lifecycle from concept through launch, pilot, execution, and continuous optimization
- Build and lead SME networks to inform program content and validate learning design
- Partner with senior leaders to align on business priorities and desired program outcomes
- Deliver enterprise-wide technical enablement programs reaching large, diverse technical audiences
- Leverage a mix of vendor content and custom program development to scale impact
- Define success metrics and track program effectiveness, adoption, and skill uplift

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in learning and development (L&D)
- 4+ years of experience working within a technology organization or technical environment
- 3+ years of experience partnering with external vendors to establish curriculum, programming, or content delivery pipelines
- Experience designing and implementing 3+ large-scale technical training programs or enterprise-wide curriculum solutions from concept to delivery
- Experience utilizing AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and augment program delivery
- Experience applying organizational change management (OCM) principles, stakeholder socialization strategies, or leadership alignment campaigns
- Proven ability to operate in a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (e.g., 4+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience planning internal communications, drafting program promotional materials, and collaborating with corporate communications or marketing teams
- Familiarity with enterprise learning platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Skillsoft) or vendor-based learning ecosystems
