General Description:
The Associate Director, Business Analyst - Clinical Operations’ Analytics serves as a strategic liaison between Global Clinical Operations (GCO) and analytics delivery teams, ensuring alignment between business needs and the development of advanced analytics capabilities. This role is instrumental in driving operational insights, enhancing productivity, and reducing clinical trial inefficiencies in support of GCO’s vision to be a world-class clinical operations organization. A key focus of this position is the oversight and continuous evolution of the primary Clinical Operations Analytics platform, IRIS—a globally utilized suite of dashboards that provides actionable insights into clinical trial performance and operational health across GCO and cross-functional stakeholders.
Specifically:
- Lead the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Clinical Operations Analytics platform, ensuring it effectively supports GCO teams across the full clinical trial lifecycle (planning, start-up, conduct, and close-out) and that data outputs are reliable and fit for decision-making.
- Serve as the primary voice of clinical stakeholders across regions and functions, translating business needs into actionable analytics solutions that reflect global and cross-functional perspectives.
- Drive requirements elicitation and definition, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, regional considerations, and standardized business processes.
- Oversee demand intake and prioritization, balancing competing needs through objective value assessment; ensure transparency, alignment with strategic priorities, and clear communication to stakeholders while translating priorities into actionable delivery plans.
- Partner closely with Development and GTS (IT) teams to define, refine, and finalize user stories; actively contribute to sprint planning, system testing, and full SDLC activities, including UAT.
- Define and communicate the value proposition for analytics initiatives, incorporating both quantitative metrics and qualitative business impact.
- Establish, track, and report on business outcome metrics to measure and demonstrate the value of digital and analytics investments.
- Represent GCO business interests as a key leader within cross-functional implementation teams, ensuring solutions meet intended objectives.
- Review and influence solution design to ensure alignment with business needs, scalability, and expected value realization.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including development of test strategies, plans, and scripts in collaboration with technical teams as appropriate.
- Drive release readiness, including stakeholder communications, training, and functional walkthroughs to ensure successful adoption.
- Oversee ticket and issue management, identifying opportunities to translate recurring issues into system enhancements or targeted training improvements.
- Govern and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Build and lead a network of business champions, fostering strong two-way communication between end users and the product team to drive engagement and adoption.
- Establish and maintain communication channels (e.g., SharePoint) to support knowledge sharing, updates, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure alignment between analytics solutions and GCO business processes; proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and define new process flows where gaps exist, in partnership with functional leaders.
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap for Clinical Operations Analytics, supporting both near-term delivery and long-term capability evolution.
- Bring forward innovative ideas and emerging industry practices, leveraging experience and market trends to continuously enhance analytics capabilities.
- The incumbent will work directly with GCO clinical stakeholders, Development and IT organizations and support implementing novel technology solutions, processes, and roles & responsibilities.

- Lead ongoing assessment of technology and industry trends to identify opportunities that position BeOne Clinical Operations with innovative, cost-effective, and compliant analytics capabilities that are cohesive, efficient, and reliable.
- Drive execution of the GCO technology roadmap, advancing initiatives that enhance productivity, control rising clinical trial costs, and reduce operational inefficiencies.
- Oversee performance, quality, and continuous improvement of technology solutions, ensuring effective monitoring, issue resolution, and optimization of system capabilities.
- Provide end-to-end project leadership, ensuring clear accountability, adherence to timelines, proactive risk management, and effective cost control across initiatives.
- Champion a culture of agility, compliance, process excellence, and data-driven decision-making, promoting thoughtful adoption of technology and innovation across the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Development Data Science, QA, IT) to support compliant system lifecycle management, including documentation, validation, and implementation of new and existing computerized systems.
- Define and standardize solution requirements in close collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Operations, Data Management, Supply Chain), ensuring alignment across functions.
- Identify operational pain points and manual workflows and lead the development of technology-enabled solutions that drive efficiency and scalability through both existing and emerging capabilities.
- Own and drive business value realization for technology investments, ensuring effective change management strategies—including communications, training, user engagement, and adoption—are planned and successfully executed.
- Maintain a strong focus on user experience and satisfaction, proactively enhancing system usability and minimizing user burden to support sustained adoption and impact.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Technical Skills:
- Requirement gathering and documentation

- Analytics toolset: Knowledge of visualization tools, such as Power BI / Tableau / Qlik etc.
- Familiarity with data technologies is a plus (data modeling, ETL, SQL, data science tools, big data platforms)
Soft skills:
- Stakeholder management: Ability to work collaboratively with functional leadership and external partners, to forge partnerships and collaborations arrangements. Ability to manage expectations, to communicate to broad groups of end-users.
- Communication: Exhibits strong cross-cultural awareness, and strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Cross-functional oversight: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional clinical teams to understand their business needs and deliver outcome-aligned solutions. Partner with internal BeOne departments, including Development Data Science, QA and IT, to develop standards, policies, and procedures associated with computerized systems, including lifecycle management for existing systems, and the implementation of innovative new systems.
