Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren - GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.
Work cross-functionally with the Purchasing, Product Engineering, Vehicle Line Executive Teams, Scheduling, Order Fulfillment, Manufacturing, and Suppliers. Our team will focus on proactively identifying long-term capacity constraints and work with functional teams across the enterprise to resolve specific issues identified through detailed capacity analysis. In addition to capacity analysis, our team will drive collaboration efforts with functional teams to ensure transparency of supply limitations to key stakeholders.
Cradle to grave responsibility of new and existing vehicle programs comprising of various tasks across the Global Vehicle Development cycle focused on the Demand Supply organization:
- Manage and track project status, sufficiency plans, issue closure, and metrics with reporting as required
- Calculate, review, approve, and maintain Global Tooling Letter for your program/s
- Calculate, review, and approve vehicle Lean Capacity Rates and part Lean Capacity Rate at various program milestones
- Execute capacity simulation and studies for future content changes
- Work cross functionally in resolving identified disconnects between market demand and component supply
- Represent Supply Planning Management / Supply Organization in cross functional meetings ex; PET, ECE, Launch/Vertical Order Fulfillment, Ops Planning meetings
- Work with Purchasing, Scheduling, Program Execution Teams, Program Purchasing Managers and Suppliers to develop constraint resolution plans for current and future production.
- Support flawless product launches through proactive identification and resolution of capacity issues for new vehicle programs including working with Program Teams to drive transparency of issues.
- Help develop new/better team capacity analysis processes to identify constraints earlier in the GVDP timeframe.
- Utilize all data/tools available to proactively and strategically identify future capacity gaps 1+ years in the future
- Perform on-site analysis & corrective action development as required
- Manage/track implementation of sufficiency plans to closure
- Support strategic crisis management
- Support Global Capacity Management process improvements by providing root cause feedback to key stakeholders.
- Support cross functional stakeholders with B1 generation/distribution and maintain the B1 ecosystem
- Support strategic company initiatives/projects

Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, manufacturing or product development
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple, visual terms suitable to a wide cross-section of audiences (data storytelling)
- Working knowledge of basic statistical and mathematical tools for problem solving and data analysis
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work in sometimes ambiguous situations
- Ability to work in an ever-changing/evolving program environment
- Ability to quickly learn/utilize GM Supply Planning applications
- Ability to coordinate activities across multiple organizations within General Motors
- Project Management skills
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving capability; strong analytical skills
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Managerial courage; ability to stand alone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus
