Summary

The Assistant Manager of HR Operations will provide day-to-day, professional Human Resource services to our business unit local management and employees. Focuses on providing high performance, high caring, and purpose driven services for a diverse workforce to achieve the company’s vision, mission, values and strategic direction.
Works in conjunction with the entire Human Resource Department in its efforts to support, by means of strategic collaboration and partnerships with, the varied Toyota Tsusho businesses in North America as assigned by HR Management.

What You'll Do

  • Support HR management in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. 
  • Assist and help specialists and recruiter manage the recruitment process, including but not limited to job postings, screenings and interview coordination. 
  • Collaborate with department management in business units to address staffing needs and ensure workforce planning aligns with organizational goals. 
  • Aid in employee onboarding, orientation and training programs to facilitate a positive and productive work environment.  
  • Handle ER issues, conducting investigations and providing guidance on conflict resolution. 
  • Assist in the administration and front line liaison for employee benefits and pay ensuring accurate record keeping and timely communication to the team. 
  • Contribute to performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals and development plans 
  • Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring the company and affiliates we support compliance. 
  • Supervise and mentor HR support staff, fostering a collaborative and effective ER team.  

What You Need

The ideal Assistant Manager candidate will have 6-9 years experience in all facets of HR with supervisory experience. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Training & Development, Organizational Development or Human Resources Development is preferred.

Must be able to lead investigations, coach management and conduct training.

SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP is preferred.

Travel: Up to 25%
