THE ROLE

In this role, Steel Sports will provide our Assistant Director of Lasorda Legacy Academy with opportunities to have extensive experience working with youth by providing basic sports strategies, and good communication skills. This role will ensure all youth team members enjoy an engaging and uplifting sporting experience. This position will report to the Director of Lasorda Legacy Academy within the region and will have direct interaction with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Financial

  • Create, monitor, and then execute the financial budgets of each program. 
  • Oversee player registration and fee collection of programs. 

Business Development

  • Work alongside SVP of Facilities and Events, Director of Lasorda Legacy Academy, and Marketing and Communications Office to plan, implement, and execute all sales, marketing, and advertising campaigns for the indoor facility. 
  • Devise new methods to market the programs to reach new potential clubs and players. 
  • Devise, implement, and execute plans to grow the current programs and reach new clubs and players within our current geography. 
  • Identify coaches that are a cultural fit with Steel Sports 
  • Follow the Social Impact Office's recommended social impact plan for the local area.
  • Develop a strategic short, medium, and long-term plan for your Steel Sports programs at Lasorda Legacy Academy. 
  • Communicate specific programs directly to all families.

Logistics

  • Oversee all camps, clinics and lessons at our Indoor Facility, Lasorda Legacy Academy. 
  • Overseeing Baseball, Softball, and Multi-Sports programs.
  • Establish best practices across all programs. 
  • Participate in weekly Facility and Events Department calls. 
  • Create yearly schedule, determine logistics and sell & execute all programs. 
  • Provide customer service to all customers. 
  • Work with regional staff to ensure a positive on and off-field result for each program. 
  • Maintain all communications at the park including website, social media, emails, etc.
  • Evaluate each program i.e., Debrief to determine best practices and improvements.
  • Utilize the universal operational materials specifically for the product, including but not limited to financial templates, marketing templates, social media templates, Steel Sports language, waivers. 
  • Oversee equipment needs for the programs and work with the Director of Lasorda Legacy Academy for ordering.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
