The Assistant Controller at AssistRx plays a crucial role in overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial records, and supporting the Controller and CFO in financial decision-making processes. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to contribute to a rapidly growing company.

  • Facilitate and enhance the month-end close process with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Assist in managing budgeting processes, monitoring departmental expenditures, and justifying variances.
  • Coordinate annual financial audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive financial management and reporting.
  • Identify discrepancies and work to resolve accounting issues promptly.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team while promoting professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in accounting with demonstrated leadership and management responsibilities in timely month‐end closings and reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and general finance, accounting procedures and ability to manage daily departmental operations.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage staff to meet departmental deadlines and attain goals.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with company management, accounting staff, other departments, clients and vendors.
