Barbaricum is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning (AI/ML) Cloud Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, deployment, and security for DoD AI/ML solutions. This role focuses on configuring AI infrastructure, optimizing model performance, and implementing cybersecurity best practices. The AI/ML Cloud Engineer will assess AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker and other cloud AI solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and optimized AI operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and maintain AIML cloud infrastructure (AWS, and potentially Azure, MilCloud 2.0).
  • Configure and optimize AI model training, inference, and large-scale data processing.
  • Identify and remediate cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
  • Automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and scaling using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Ensure high availability and fault tolerance for AI/ML workloads in cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and reside within the United States.
  • AWS certifications highly preferred; AI/ML and SEC experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, AI/ML, or Data Engineering.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Apache Spark, Databricks, and cloud-native AIML tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, risk remediation, and AI workload optimization.
  • Proficiency in Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
