POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 260,000 guests annually. This position develops and implements strategies to create and strengthen relationships that advance both our mission and philanthropy at YMCA of the Rockies, specifically in the annual giving and program giving spaces. The Annual Giving Manager is primarily responsible for growing the annual fund through individual outreach to current and prospective supporters, including leadership-level asks of $1,000 or more a year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In collaboration with philanthropy colleagues, lead and execute the organization’s approach to annual/unrestricted giving, with a focus on solicitation and retention of annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
- Develop strategies to grow yearly annual fund revenue.
- Support the development and execution of leadership giving stewardship strategies.
- Secure individual visits with potential and current supporters at YMCA of the Rockies properties, including guests and members.
- Travel occasionally within Colorado for donor visits.
- Present to the board of directors at bi-annual board meetings and serve as staff liaison for the board’s annual giving outreach efforts.
- Recruit volunteers to help with seasonal campaigns and events.
- Utilize a combination of personal outreach (email, text, phone, mail) to solicit annual gifts.
- Progress donors through moves management strategies with relationship-based fundraising at the forefront.
- Track and meet annual goals, including donor visits, calls, conversations, and dollars raised.
- Utilize Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge to log actions and manage personal portfolio.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of donors, members, and guests from across the U.S. who have the potential to become leadership-level annual supporters.
- Collaborate with philanthropy colleagues to identify potential major or planned gift donors.
- Work with philanthropy team to plan and support stewardship and fundraising events including donor recognition dinners, golf outings, and campaign events.
- Oversee Columbarium niche inquiries, purchases, reservations, and inurnments.
- Facilitate Memorial Wall and Memorial Bench giving opportunities.
- Help build a philanthropic culture focused on relationship building that provides opportunities for the entire Association to become involved with and engaged in the advancement of our mission.
- Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years of work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects.
- High level of organization is required to execute tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Raiser’s Edge or other donor database experience a plus.

- Possess stamina to work in the work environment described herein. Weekend and evening responsibilities are frequent and statewide, and some out-of-state travel is required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.
