Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a nature-focused global adventure travel company, is seeking a resourceful and forward-thinking AI Specialist to help our teams use artificial intelligence to work smarter, faster, and more creatively. This role focuses on understanding real workflows across the company, identifying where AI can support employees, and implementing practical tools that fit smoothly into existing systems and processes.
The AI Specialist will work directly with our SVP of Systems to uncover high-impact opportunities, test and roll out new AI capabilities, support change management, and help staff confidently adopt AI in their daily work. We’re looking for someone who blends technical skills with strong communication, curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with both developers and end users. This is a new role with room to shape how Nat Hab leverages AI across the organization. We are only considering candidates located within a one-hour commute of our Louisville, CO office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather workflow details from teams to pinpoint where AI can support people and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with the SVP of Systems and Nat Hab Leadership to plan and execute AI-focused improvements within existing tools and processes.
- Implement and test AI tools, integrations, and automations using platforms like OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and other tools.
- Help manage AI or automation projects, including scoping, timelines, coordination, and communication with end users.
- Facilitate trainings, answer AI-related questions, and serve as the internal point person for AI adoption at Nat Hab.
- Track project metrics and outcomes to evaluate success and identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist Systems with testing new tools, coordinating rollouts, and supporting change management.
- Identify areas where AI can assist with tasks such as invoice processing, accounts payable, or trip detail review.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years working with AI, automation, or workflow optimization tools.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, machine learning, and experience with custom OpenAI models or similar.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 AI tools including Copilot.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and end users.
- Comfortable working in Agile or hybrid project management frameworks.
- Skilled at gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and converting business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to iterate quickly.
- Experience leading or assisting with cross-functional technology projects.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best
practices.
- A self-starter eager to build an impactful role in a new space at the company.
COMPENSATION
Starting salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 plus annual bonus. Compensation commensurate with experience. (Per Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, employers must include compensation ranges in job postings). This is a full-time, exempt position.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-person attendance at our Louisville, Colorado home office at least three days per week.
This location and travel policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.
WORKING HOURS
Our standard company hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT. On Saturdays, we operate from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with coverage provided by select members of our guest-facing teams. Additional hours may be required, as needed, to achieve your goals and support business needs.
