About Rachio
Rachio helps homeowners and irrigation professionals create healthier and smarter yards. We’re a small, collaborative team that uses data and emerging technology to set and hit our goals. The marketing team supports various direct-to-consumer and B2B sales channels with a growing catalog of products. We’re a fully remote company with most employees in the Denver metro area (that’s why we’re looking for someone in Denver).
The Role
We’re hiring a Marketing Manager who specializes in Google and understands how AI is reshaping the customer journey. You’ll anchor our strategy across Google’s ecosystem: SEO, YouTube, and Google Ads. Data will guide your experiments as you build content and campaigns to grow Rachio’s sales.
We’re looking for someone experienced enough to have seen Google change and to know how organic, AI-driven results, and advertising fit together. The landscape evolves quickly. You’re comfortable adapting.
What You’ll Do
- Build a cohesive plan that connects SEO, YouTube strategy, and Google’s paid platforms into one roadmap. This is not simply a paid marketing role; you need to be able to think across the customer journey.
- Lead SEO across technical, on-page, and content to grow high-value traffic.
- Track how AI influences consumer and pro behavior, then turn those insights into content, structure, and experiments.
- Shape YouTube programming and, as useful, ads as part of search and discovery.
- Use internal and Google data to define hypotheses, run tests, measure results, and iterate.
- Participate on Reddit as a search-adjacent and community channel. Measure impact and feed learning back into SEO and content.
- Partner with designers, web developers, and AI content generation tools to launch pages, experiments, and site improvements.
- Report on learnings with clear recommendations and next steps.
- Over time, branch into other growth tactics and channels as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- 7–10 years working in Google’s ecosystem with a strong record in SEO and Google Ads, plus comfortable with YouTube and other Google channels.
- Practical understanding of how AI is changing search and how to adapt strategy.
- Hands-on testing experience: defining metrics, running experiments, and communicating outcomes.
- Ability to interrogate data sets and create new ones when needed (tags, surveys, landing pages) and turn findings into action.
- Comfortable building and analyzing complex formulas in Google Sheets/Excel (math is a good thing).
- Strong communication and self-editing; you can produce briefs and simple content on tight timelines.
- You can move work from idea to execution with cross-functional partners.
- Familiar with marketing and business metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC, LTV) and able to build simple models to put those numbers in context.
- Working experience with Reddit.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with app-enabled products or a software + hardware business.
- Familiarity with smart home, outdoor living, or adjacent categories.
- Perspective on how B2C and B2B strategies interact.
- Audience segmentation experience (CDP or related tech).
How We Work
- Ownership and agency: Small team, big impact, two-week campaign sprints.
- Authenticity over complexity: Simple plans, fast launches, frank retros.
- Curiosity is key: We learn from customers, market trends, and new tech.
- Quality over quantity: High standards, ethical work, meaningful results.
How to Apply
Send us an email (no, really…). Email [email protected] with your resume attached. In the body of the email, respond to one of the following three questions:
- How does your SEO experience set you up for success in this role?
- What is the coolest thing you’ve done in the past year at work?
- How have you built campaigns to minimize CAC?
Remember, this is an email; keep it brief. A real person will review each email, so it might take some time, but each applicant will get a response. After that, expect at least 3 interviews: 1) Pitch us on why you’re the right person for the job, 2) Talk to the team, 3) Align on culture. We’re ~26 people, so we really want to find the right person.
Benefits
Competitive salary ($120k–$140k base, depending on experience and skill set), health benefits, 401(k) matching, flexible time off, parental leave, and more.
