Bounteous is seeking an Adobe Commerce Solution Architect to provide consultative, hands-on leadership for the design and delivery of modern, composable commerce solutions built on Adobe Commerce SaaS. This role is responsible for defining end-to-end commerce architectures that span storefront experience, catalog and pricing services, ERP integrations, and downstream fulfillment systems, while aligning closely with Adobe Experience Manager, Edge Delivery Services, and headless storefront patterns.
The Commerce Solution Architect serves as the primary technical authority for commerce solutioning and is expected to maintain an active, billable presence across client engagements. This role bridges business requirements, platform capabilities, and delivery execution, partnering closely with experience architects, engineers, product owners, offshore delivery teams, and client stakeholders. The ideal candidate operates in a highly consultative manner, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with both B2B and B2C commerce needs.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Adobe Commerce SaaS solutions supporting B2B, B2C, and hybrid commerce models in a consultative client-facing capacity.
- Define reference architectures for composable commerce, including Adobe Commerce Drop-ins, Edge Delivery Services, and headless storefront patterns.
- Design integration strategies between Adobe Commerce and ERP, OMS, PIM, tax, payment, fulfillment, and identity systems.
- Establish catalog, pricing, inventory visibility, and eligibility patterns aligned to backend system rules and operational constraints.
- Define API-based integration patterns using REST and GraphQL to support scalable data exchange and storefront integration.
- Ensure commerce solutions align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements across markets and regions.
- Lead consultative technical discovery and solution definition workshops with clients and internal teams.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs, integration diagrams, and delivery plans.
- Provide ongoing architectural guidance to engineers throughout build, QA, and deployment phases.
- Review implementation approaches to ensure alignment with architectural intent, best practices, and delivery standards.
- Work effectively with offshore and distributed delivery teams, providing clear technical direction, documentation, and feedback.
- Serve as a consultative, trusted technical advisor to clients on Adobe Commerce capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
- Maintain a billable role across active client engagements while supporting solution oversight and delivery quality.
- Support pre-sales efforts through consultative solution scoping, estimates, and technical narratives.
- Contribute to commerce accelerators, reference architectures, and reusable delivery assets.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 to 12 or more years of experience in commerce architecture, digital platforms, or enterprise application design.
- 4 or more years of hands-on Adobe Commerce experience, including SaaS or cloud-based deployments.
- Experience designing composable and headless commerce architectures.
- Strong experience integrating commerce platforms with ERP, OMS, PIM, and third-party services.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Edge Delivery Services, and commerce Drop-ins.
- Experience supporting both B2B and B2C commerce use cases.
- Consulting or agency experience strongly preferred, with demonstrated client-facing advisory responsibilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively with offshore and global delivery teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
