Summary
Utilizing a team approach, this position is responsible for leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the administrative team for the operations warehouse facility. Duties include ensuring Shipping, Receiving, Export, and SPU processes operate to standard as well as positive employee relations. The Supervisor will lead a team of Administrative Assistants and Specialist in order to carry out the organizations mission.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the assigned departments within the facility. Provides direction, follow up, and support to staff. Utilize KPI’s to manage department performance.
- Coordinate and monitor the productivity of assigned departments. Monitor targets for productivity performance. Analyzes data to improve productivity and implement improvements. Ensures adequate tools and equipment are available for a safe and productive operation.
- Monitors the departments quality control measures are being followed to meet internal and external customer expectations. Monitor targets for quality performance. Analyzes data to improve quality and implement improvements. Create standard operating procedures for the processes within the assigned departments.
- Delegates tasks and accountabilities. Creation of training and development plans for staff. Supports plans to improve and maintain high morale of staff. Coaches, counsels and disciplines subordinates as required. Manages time off request within assigned departments.
- Ensures company policies (HR, Safety, Internal Controls, IT, Accounting, Security, etc.) and other directives are communicated, implemented and observed though out the assigned departments.
- Responds promptly to internal and external customer issues and concerns with root cause and countermeasures within the specified timeframe.
- Works closely with IT on system upgrades and problems. Provides direction to the on site Super Power User (SPU).
- Other duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsible for training employees, directing, or distributing work, handling employee’s complaints, determining and/or planning work, and performing the same kind of work as subordinates. Responsible for initiating hiring, discipline, termination, and appraisal of work of employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma and at least 3 to 6 years experience, including supervisory experience., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills including word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel are required for this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
