We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager with a public accounting background and proven success in fast-paced startup environments. In this role, you'll lead day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, help scale our financial infrastructure, and ensure compliance with GAAP. You'll be a key partner in building out scalable processes that support the company’s growth and evolving business model. 

What you’ll do 

  • Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities by running a disciplined close and reporting process including preparation of financial statements, consolidations, flux analytics and KPI metrics to support internal and external reporting needs 
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and perform special technical assessments as needed 
  • Help to develop and execute deliverables, and manage the external auditors and other professional service providers as needed 
  • Evaluate and continually improve accounting procedures, processes, and systems to ensure standardized and efficient accounting operations, whilst also maintaining a robust control environment 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate accounting and reporting 
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff or outsourced partners as needed 
  • Evaluate and help implement accounting systems, tools, and automation processes for scalability

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master in Accounting or Finance 
  • CPA license 
  • 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including: 
  • 3+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm preferred) 
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or technology company 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. 
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-changing environments. 
  • Experience with accounting software, NetSuite preferred. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. 

As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:
$110,000$130,000 USD

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location  

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
