What You'll Do

IMA is seeking an Account Specialist to join our HPIEx Real Estate Program team. Account Specialists are the backbone of a highly collaborative and dynamic service team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day servicing needs of a book of business, primarily consisting of middle market and large market accounts, while partnering closely with Account Managers and Account Executives to deliver exceptional client service. This position is eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values.

  • Provides support to Account Managers and Account Executives on large and complex client accounts.
  • Serves as a temporary backup to the Account Manager as needed, ensuring clients experience no gap in service or knowledge.
  • Identifies issues, recommends solutions, and proactively supports Account Managers and Account Executives in resolving client concerns.
  • Utilizes the Agency Management System (EPIC) to maintain detailed account information, including reviewing and processing certificates of insurance, coordinating with the Real Estate Accounting team, calculating surplus lines taxes and fees, processing policies, and managing client-specific billing and premium financing requests.
  • Processes endorsements, billing transactions, and policy changes; reviews cancellation notices; and participates in internal review meetings and other meetings as requested.
  • Interacts directly with clients, both verbally and in writing, regarding program needs, service requests, and new assignments.
  • Understands and delivers on the unique expectations and service requirements of assigned accounts.
  • Works independently to manage assigned responsibilities and leads or supports special projects and client initiatives as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 1-3 years of applicable insurance experience preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
  • Basic understanding of Property, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Workers' Compensation, and related insurance programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Limited travel may be required (less than 10%).

Salary Range
$45,000—$60,000 USD
