Role Description:
LST Group is seeking an energetic, highly driven Account Manager to support and expand our business with all Government Agencies. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and expanding our services with existing clients.  You will provide the best solutions for our company to support our Government Agency clients’ freight transportation goals. This position leads the charge in ensuring we deliver outstanding service & communication to LST Group’s Government Agency customers.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Thorough familiarity with the need of Department of Defense, FEMA, USPS, etc.
  • Coordinate with the carrier team to manage the full lifecycle of shipments from pickup to delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with logistics coordinators and carrier sales team members with respect to order needs, delivery times, customer requests, etc.
  • Monitor shipment status, proactively communicate updates or delays, and resolve any service-related issues.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, focusing on retention and revenue growth.
  • Work closely with carrier partners to ensure capacity, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Analyze client needs and offer tailored logistics solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track KPIs and service metrics; prepare and present regular performance reports to clients and management.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding service offerings within current accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and industry regulations specific to vehicle transport.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry for all orders, load details, client information, and shipment updates into TMS, CRM, and internal databases.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics procedures.
  • Well versed in all modes of transportation with core focus on Government Agency freight
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
