We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive – Academic to accelerate adoption of our solutions within higher education institutions. In this role, you’ll manage the full sales cycle, engaging both central administration and academic faculty to deliver impactful solutions. You will combine strategic selling with deep education market knowledge to navigate complex buying processes and close new business in your territory.

- Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline (3x coverage within 90 days, 4–5x by 180 days).
- Manage complex sales cycles involving both central buyers and faculty decision-makers.
- Execute a targeted territory strategy, identifying high-potential accounts and tailoring outreach to institutional priorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Client Success to close deals and expand accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring clean data and timely, reliable sales forecasts.
- 3–8+ years of full-cycle sales experience.
- Proven success closing new business in multi-stakeholder, long-cycle deals.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools.
- Experience selling SaaS, edtech, digital curriculum, or instructional technology.
- Background in higher education sales, particularly with provosts, deans, instructional designers, or faculty.
- Experience selling to Academic Affairs, Centers for Teaching & Learning, or Instructional Technology teams.
- Teaching, tutoring, or instructional design experience.
- Knowledge of curriculum alignment processes and LMS integrations.
- Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to deeply understand academic customer needs.
- Stakeholder mapping expertise to navigate decentralized buying processes.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to stay current on educational technology trends.
- Resilience and ownership to manage rejection and drive results in complex deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, adapting style for faculty vs. administrators.
- Strategic prospecting skills leveraging data, tools, and intuition.
- Process discipline to move deals forward with focus and consistency.
- Consistently hit — and aim to exceed — your quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline that keeps you well ahead of target.
- Navigate complex sales cycles involving both academic and administrative decision-makers.
- Develop and execute territory strategies that focus on the right accounts at the right time.
