  • On Target Earnings: $120k -- UNCAPPED COMMISSIONS and ACCELERATORS beyond 100% achievement of goal

We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive – Academic to accelerate adoption of our solutions within higher education institutions and continuing education programs. In this role, you’ll manage the full sales cycle, engaging both central administration and academic faculty to deliver impactful solutions. You will combine strategic selling with education market knowledge to navigate the buying processes and close new business in your territory.

What You'll Do

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas (between $500k - $700k on an annual basis)
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline (3x coverage within 90 days, 4–5x by 180 days) through self-initiated prospecting to new logos and via referrals
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving both central buyers and faculty decision-makers.
  • Execute a targeted territory strategy, identifying high-potential accounts and tailoring outreach to institutional priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Client Success to close new logo deals and expand accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring clean data and timely, reliable sales forecasts.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

  • 5–8+ years of full-cycle sales experience selling SaaS / software solutions to senior technical buyers.
  • Proven success achieving sales quota multiple years in a row at the same company.
  • Experience closing new customers with an average ARR of $20K; experience growing deal sizes to $75k+
  • Experience using with Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Preferred: Background in higher education sales to provosts, deans, instructional designers, faculty.
  • Preferred: Background in continuing education sales to trainers, program managers, executives.
  • Preferred: Understanding of Cybersecurity and Information Technology
