Serves as in-house counsel for corporate finance, M&A, strategic investments, employee liquidity programs, equity administration, and commercial transactions. Leads financings and acquisitions from term sheet through closing, manages diligence and Board materials, advises on real estate and supplier agreements, and provides practical corporate guidance to executives and internal teams. The role also supports national security reviews, government contract diligence, and post-closing integration within a venture-backed defense technology company.

Own and mature the company’s intellectual property strategy across patents, trade secrets, software, data, trademarks, licensing, and open-source compliance. Manage IP portfolios, invention processes, agreements, employee IP obligations, and government data-rights matters. Advise technical and business teams on ownership, licensing, export controls, and risk. Support broader corporate legal work, including commercial contracts, transactions, financing, and legal-process improvements.

Designs and analyzes space missions, including rendezvous, proximity operations, and constellation performance. Builds simulation and modeling tools, conducts orbital mechanics and Monte Carlo analyses, optimizes spacecraft maneuvers, and supports system architecture decisions. Oversees mission-system integration, verification, testing, real-time mission support, and pre- and post-flight analyses. Collaborates with subsystem teams and stakeholders to assess performance, reliability, safety, risks, and mission success.
