Leads and grows the engineering organization, sets technical strategy and roadmap, oversees execution across multiple teams, and provides technical direction on architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and quality. Partners with Product, Design, Operations, Risk, and the CTO to deliver customer-focused financial products. Responsibilities include recruiting and developing engineering leaders, improving processes, removing organizational bottlenecks, and balancing product delivery with long-term platform and infrastructure investments.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you'll build and deploy ML models for risk and fraud detection, leading technical efforts and collaborating cross-functionally.

Lead product and lifecycle marketing for Step's consumer finance products, owning go-to-market strategy, launches, cross-functional partnerships, and full-funnel lifecycle campaigns. Build and mentor a product marketing team, drive loyalty/gamification programs, leverage research to inform product roadmaps, and partner with product, design, engineering, and Beast Industries to scale acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Own and scale Step's affiliate and partner marketing program end-to-end: manage affiliate networks (Impact), recruit and onboard partners and creators, negotiate deals and contracts, run invoicing and budget reconciliation, build tracking and attribution (postbacks, pixels, MMPs), lead creative and compliance reviews, develop direct partnerships and emerging-channel distribution, and report program performance with recommendations.

Lead Step's integrated financial model, forecasting, and dashboards. Partner with cross-functional teams and the CFO to drive financial planning, unit-economics, pricing, and investment decisions. Build AI-augmented forecasts, deliver executive-ready analyses, and own monthly reviews, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning.

The Senior Web Software Engineer will build and maintain web components, own features from inception to production, implement designs, partner with teams, and impact product evolution.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Step, you'll own features from inception to production, improve Kotlin services, ensure code quality, and work collaboratively in a small team.

The Senior Mobile Software Engineer will develop user-facing features for a cross-platform app, ensuring code quality and functionality throughout the entire lifecycle of features.

Lead and scale Step’s compliance program across banking, lending, and payments regulations. Build policies, manage exams, audits, monitoring, and issue tracking. Lead Risk strategy and team to minimize fraud and losses while preserving a frictionless customer experience. Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Finance to embed risk-aware decisioning, scale operations, automate technical solutions, and continuously improve risk models. Own fraud loss outcomes and build multidisciplinary risk functions across Risk Ops, Analytics, Disputes, and Investigations.

The Accounting Manager will own the full-cycle close, lead external audits, manage accounting projects, implement policies, and drive process improvements.
