Provides direct perioperative nursing care in a surgical ophthalmology setting, monitoring patients before and after procedures, managing airway-related needs, maintaining asepsis, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, maintaining equipment and inventory, educating patients and families, and protecting patient privacy.

Welcomes and assists patients, manages calls and appointments, explains fees and financing, processes insurance billing using CPT and ICD-10 codes, collects payments, and supports daily deposits. The role requires strong communication, customer service, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Patient care or customer service experience is required, while training is provided for clinic-specific responsibilities.

Provides perioperative nursing care in pre-op, operating room, and PACU settings. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, surgical preparation, circulating duties, post-anesthesia monitoring, pain management, discharge readiness assessment, patient education, documentation, infection prevention, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary staff.
