Own the vision, roadmap, packaging, pricing, and economics for DigitalOcean’s App Platform, Serverless Functions, and Container Registry. Lead customer discovery, developer experience, platform architecture tradeoffs, cost and capacity optimization, reliability targets, competitive analysis, and end-to-end launches. Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, finance, marketing, sales, and support to drive adoption, retention, revenue, utilization, and margins across managed compute services.

Design, deploy, optimize, and scale production AI and agentic workloads for strategic customers. Build benchmarking systems, automation tooling, deployment frameworks, starter kits, and operational playbooks. Optimize distributed inference, GPU efficiency, latency, reliability, and cost across AI runtimes and orchestration platforms. Validate new platform capabilities, influence product roadmaps, collaborate with infrastructure and model partners, and enable customer-facing technical teams. The role requires up to 30% travel for customer engagements, workshops, conferences, and collaboration.

Own the end-to-end console experience, including navigation, information architecture, onboarding, shared surfaces, and reusable design patterns. Lead the design system roadmap with engineering, establish product-wide quality standards, and drive adoption across teams through reviews, collaboration, and a design guild. Set creative direction, improve UX simplicity, and design for both novice and expert users.

Design and implement high-performance distributed control plane services and microservices in Go. Lead complex technical initiatives, solve distributed-systems challenges, improve platform resilience, mentor engineers, and support production operations through on-call monitoring and incident response. The role focuses on low-latency, fault-tolerant cloud compute infrastructure using technologies such as gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, and Firecracker.

Leads technical accounting for complex transactions, financing and M&A, impairment analyses, accounting policies, SEC reporting, audits, and SOX-compliant controls. Prepares accounting memos, reviews leases and revenue arrangements, supports cash flow and EPS calculations, advises cross-functional partners, implements new standards, and mentors accounting staff. Requires strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public-company experience, CPA licensure, financial modeling skills, and proficiency with Excel, Oracle Fusion, and Workiva.

Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, establish observability practices, participate in on-call rotations, and turn production incidents into lasting improvements.

Own complex deal execution from quoting through contracting and quote-to-cash while advising Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations. Ensure pricing, discounting, revenue recognition, CRM data quality, and process compliance. Lead improvements to deal desk policies, playbooks, systems, automation, and AI-assisted workflows. Define CRM and CPQ requirements, mentor analysts, and deliver training and knowledge-sharing across the global team.

Owns end-to-end projects across DigitalOcean’s go-to-market systems, including implementations, integrations, automations, data flows, Salesforce configuration, tier 2 troubleshooting, and AI-powered workflows. The role partners with technical program management and engineering stakeholders on solution design, coordinates with vendors, resolves root causes, documents reusable patterns, and mentors an engineer. Systems include Salesforce, Outreach, Planhat, DealHub, Clay, Snowflake, and related integrations.

Leads sales and use tax compliance, planning, controversy, optimization, and refund recovery. Manages state and federal credits and incentives, including data center programs, New Markets Tax Credits, and Qualified Opportunity Zones. Prepares tax analyses, calculations, filings, memoranda, and audit responses; monitors legislative developments; coordinates cross-functional workstreams; and partners with Finance, Legal, Infrastructure, advisors, and tax authorities.

Design, build, test, and optimize scalable control-plane and data-plane network services and tools. Develop APIs, improve reliability and performance, support cloud products, establish engineering best practices, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on distributed systems, networking, observability, containerization, and production-ready software delivery.

Design and build software for global network infrastructure, including automation, orchestration, provisioning, device lifecycle management, telemetry, validation, and remediation. Integrate DPUs, SmartNICs, and programmable networking into scalable cloud infrastructure. Lead architecture, RFCs, technical proposals, and complex initiatives while mentoring engineers and setting technical direction across network, hardware, compute, storage, and security teams.

Lead DigitalOcean’s AI security strategy, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap. Secure AI/ML systems across data ingestion, training, model serving, RAG, agents, and monitoring. Conduct threat modeling, adversarial testing, AI red teaming, and security reviews; develop guardrails and automation with engineering teams. Advise executives and the board on AI risk, define organizational controls, and guide responses to emerging threats including prompt injection, model supply-chain risks, and AI-enabled social engineering.

Lead architecture and low-level optimizations for high-performance AI inference. Benchmark and tune GPU kernels, memory and precision management, parallelize across multi-node GPU clusters, implement quantization (FP8/INT8/FP4), advise on hardware/software stacks (CUDA/ROCm/Triton/TensorRT), mentor engineers, and collaborate to turn hardware limits into shippable inference products.

Assess product and application architectures, develop threat models, identify security risks, and guide engineering teams on remediation. Promote security culture through training, mentoring, vulnerability management, and internal security initiatives. Build security tooling, automation, patterns, and workflows that embed secure-by-design practices across engineering. Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to secure complex, large-scale cloud systems.

Lead assessment and mitigation of security risks in the virtualization stack. Build threat models, rubrics, and defenses; partner with kernel, virtualization, and provisioning teams to design and implement mitigations; mentor engineers, manage vulnerability backlog, and promote security best practices across product teams.
