What It's Like to Work at Datadog

As a new grad, I wanted to be on a team where I could ask questions and grow. From day one at Datadog, everyone’s been approachable, supportive, and eager to help. A year in, I’m working on critical systems, building APIs, and contributing to a product that impacts thousands of customers. I’ve learned more here than I thought possible.

I’ve grown so much here – not just in title, but in mindset. From Sales Development Representative to Director, what’s made the biggest difference is the people: mentors, managers, and teammates who always show up, challenge you, and help you get better.

What I’ve appreciated most about Datadog is how flexible and supportive it’s been throughout my journey. Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to move across engineering, site reliability, technical program management, and back again, each time with support tailored to my goals.

I am very grateful for the opportunities that have been offered to me in my time here. Datadog is great at seeing your strengths and placing you with a team that really suits your skills.

I started out in Commercial Sales, but my goal was to move into Enterprise Sales, and Datadog gave me the mentorship, opportunity, and support to get there. As a woman in tech sales, it’s incredibly rewarding to speak confidently with leaders at some of the world’s best-known companies. We’re equals in the conversation, and that makes a difference.

Datadog has supplied me the tools to successfully learn & grow within the company. I'm incessantly challenged & continue to be rewarded for my hard work through multiple promotions in my tenure. I started as a Solutions Engineer, was promoted to a Sales Engineer, and am now embedding with the Product Management team. The opportunities are endless.

We’ve built something at Datadog that feels like a second home. It’s informal and collaborative, and that connection makes all the difference. There’s so much opportunity here to build and improve. Datadog still has that startup energy, but with real support behind it. That's exciting.

I couldn't be more grateful for the experiences, mentorship, and growth I've had in my 6 years at Datadog. As a Team Lead, I work with Engineering and Product leaders to navigate complex deal cycles and delivery real impact. Our team thrives on healthy competition, constant learning, and celebrating together--it's a team I love being part of!

I love coming in to the Datadog Madrid office -- the whole team is here. There’s a sense of shared momentum, like being back in university, but in a healthier way. People care deeply, but they’re not burning out. Everyone’s motivated and excited about what we’re building next.
