Conserver is a Freescale i.MX6Q ARM processor based server appliance that had completed development and is going to market. ARM processors are set to supplant Intel in the data center. Their power efficiency in an environment where aggregated servers consume massive power and generate tremendous waste heat is inevitable. Conserver is a new system design that makes use of evolving ARM chips to attach commodity storage (SATA) and software (Linux) to provide an incredibly efficient, highly capable server platform.
