Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a nonprofit youth-development organization that builds and supports mentoring relationships between adult volunteers and young people. Its mission is to help children realize their potential, build their futures, and strengthen communities. Founded in New York City in 1904, it works through a broad network of local affiliates, engaging volunteers and communities in one-to-one mentoring that promotes positive youth development.
