The holiday season is just around the corner, which means so is gift giving. For this Colorado tech company, it also means a busy season ahead.

Artifact Uprising is an e-commerce company that makes custom calendars, photo albums, prints and frames. The product designers at Artifact Uprising know that the ideal audience wants to give a thoughtful gift — and what better to make that gift than out of thoughtful materials?

Artifact Uprising sources part of its wood from the company’s own backyard — the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The company uses reclaimed fallen pine and recycled paper to create wooden calendars, hardcover books and more. It has a thoughtful vision of the future for the next generation, both in environmental impact and in family keepsakes.

What’s even more unique about Artifact Uprising is it’s one of the few tech companies that brings in extra hands to help with the holiday rush. If you are looking for seasonal work — and prefer to work with companies that want to make sure there are plenty of changing leaves for the next generation — take a look at Artifact Uprising’s open roles, perks and environmentally conscious sourcing.

Selected Sourcing: The company takes pride in “being known for elevated design and thoughtfully sourced materials.” The team works with Azure Furniture Company to procure reclaimed fallen pine for its wood products, like wooden calendars and wood block prints. Azure has reclaimed 250,000 feet of fallen pine in the Rocky Mountain forests. Artifact Uprising also sources paper from Mohawk Options Paper, which is 100 percent post-consumer fiber. All of the electricity used to make the paper is matched with renewable wind-generated electricity.
