Techstars Boulder recently announced the 11 startups that will be participating in its 2021 accelerator program. For the next three months, these participants will work extensively with mentors, networking with potential investors and researching the industry. Similar to past years, the program will focus heavily on teaching business fundamentals, like how to figure out who your customer is and how to build a financial model and business plan.

The program will culminate in a demo day on April 22, where the class will present to the public. In the end, all of the entrepreneurs are granted access to Techstars’ resources for life, as well as its network of 10,000 mentors, 15,000 investors and 2,300 alumni companies.

This year’s program, like pretty much everything else right now, will be held entirely online. However, Andres Barreto, Techstars Boulder’s new managing director, sees this format as an opportunity rather than a hindrance.

“Operating our program in a remote format is allowing us to work with extraordinary founders regardless of their locations,” Barreto said in a statement, noting this year’s participants come from across North America, Latin America and East Asia. “We are also excited that over half of the companies are led by diverse founders from underrepresented backgrounds.”

He also says the industries covered in this year’s class are quite diverse as well, ranging from e-commerce and education to financial services and security.

The 2021 class is listed below. Descriptions were provided by Techstars but have been edited for length and clarity:

  1. AtomChat: A platform that claims it can help companies increase their online sales by at much as 5x by using apps like WhatsApp and Messenger.
