If the theme of 2020 was “adapt,” then the theme of 2021 is “rebirth.”

As businesses, communities and borders begin to reopen around the world, so do the horizons of opportunity. Tech companies might have pivoted in the way they do business, but that doesn’t mean their plans and goals ever got pushed to the back burner. With a new quarter and a new season finally here, Built In Colorado is taking a closer look at the teams behind three local organizations. Here’s what they have been doing to bring their latest projects to life.

What they do: Name.com gives people the tools they need to bring websites to life, offering domain registration and website hosting services to work within any budget.

Employee buzz: “One of the best parts about [our] culture is that everyone plays a part in defining it,” Lead UI/UX Engineer Jon Liu previously told Built In. “Our culture is not set in stone or defined by a single person; it has evolved over time to accommodate and reflect the people on our team. Our company culture is more than the free food, the keg or any other perks. It’s about the genuine relationships we’ve formed over the years and the family we’ve grown into over time.”

In the news: Name.com recently became the first domain registrar to partner with DigitalOcean to provide cloud hosting services. DigitalOcean is widely regarded as one of the best cloud service providers in the industry and their Basic Droplets can now be managed directly from a Name.com account. This partnership of best-in-class products with domain registration services provides users with a simple management experience without sacrificing quality.

What they do: Mersive’s visual computing software helps teams improve collaboration online, over video and in the meeting room by enabling seamless, inclusive and engaging content sharing. Their solutions make teams more productive through easier participation and quicker start-up times for meetings.

Employee buzz: “Mersive culture is deeply rooted in collaboration and inclusion. We are always looking for opportunities to connect with our local and global communities,” Employee Experience Manager Helena Czaban previously told Built In. “Our teams, both local and remote, are encouraged to volunteer together using the generous VTO plan that we offer. Serving together builds our relationships both with the community and one another.”

Tech toolbox: Engineers at Mersive are diving deep into software like React Redux and GraphQL for data query, while simultaneously showing off their capabilities with Rust, Java, Kubernetes and Docker on the back end.

What they do: Located in Colorado Springs, Quantum Metric is a digital intelligence platform dedicated to helping companies build their digital products more efficiently. With a presence in retail, finance and travel, the recent tech unicorn’s intelligent analysis enables modern enterprises to gather real-time quantitative data to enhance their customer experience.

Employee buzz: “Our customer base consists of the most well-known and highly-trafficked enterprises across every vertical,” Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering Adam Dille previously told Built In. “Those realities have led us toward more streaming and message-based architectures over the years. These changes have allowed us to build components of the system for specific purposes while still connecting them together in a way that presents a cohesive experience for our customers.”

Client roster: Quantum Metric’s list of clients includes major contenders like Lululemon, United and Alaska Airlines, Neiman Marcus, Lenovo, Western Union and more.
