Tech companies across industries are establishing physical offices and hiring local tech talent.

We may only be a few months into 2023, but several tech companies are continuing to invest in physical office spaces. While many employees continue to work remotely or in a hybrid manner, commuting and working at the office carries multiple benefits, including socializing with coworkers and accessing conference rooms and other amenities. 

Last year at least nine tech companies opened new offices in Colorado. Many of those businesses were newcomers to the state and worked across industries like quantum computing and software consulting. 

Already this year, at least four tech companies have opened new spaces in the Centennial state or announced their intentions to do so. Read on to learn about the companies opening new offices in Colorado. This list will be updated throughout the year.

 

Monday.com has been on an office opening spree. Late last year, the company opened an office in Chicago and its U.S. headquarters in New York City. To start the New Year, monday.com opened a 10,000-square-foot office in Denver. At the time of opening, the new space housed the company’s local 45-person team. Monday.com is also actively hiring in Denver and in various other cities in which it has a presence. 

 

Kickstart Fund is a venture capital firm based in Utah that has a long history of investing in early-stage startups in the Mountain West region, including Colorado. In February, the firm announced it would open an office in Denver as it looks for more investing opportunities. That same day, Kickstart also announced the launch of a $230 million fund.

 

In early March, robotics and nuclear management company Veolia Nuclear Solutions opened a new facility in Lafayette. Prior to the new facility, the company had two separate offices in Colorado but decided to consolidate them into a new “state-of-the-art” facility. The new space will expand VNS’ ability to design and develop robotic technologies that can be used in nuclear facilities. VNS is headquartered in France.

 

Amprius Technologies selected Brighton for its new 775,000-square-foot lithium-ion facility in early March. The company is headquartered in Fremont, California and develops and manufactures lithium-ion batteries for use in aircrafts, electric cars and wearable devices. The first phase of expansion is expected to create 332 new jobs with an annual wage of $68,516, according to a statement from Gov. Jared Polis.
